Orthodontic treatment helps people of all ages achieve healthy, beautiful smiles! Effective, comprehensive orthodontic treatment safely straightens teeth while also addressing the overall functionality and bite alignment for superior dental health.

In addition to boosting self-esteem and confidence, orthodontic treatment decreases your risk of future and potentially costly dental problems including tooth decay and gum disease, premature wear of the teeth and protective enamel, and even injury to teeth and jaw joints.

At Shawano Orthodontics, we create personalized treatment plans unique to each patient, to match their orthodontic goals and lifestyle.  We offer the most proven, effective, and technologically advanced treatments available today.

Traditional metal braces have long been the treatment of choice to correct the widest array of dental issues and create amazing smiles. Luckily for you, braces are smaller and more comfortable than ever before! Traditional braces are the most commonly used treatment to align teeth and bites for adolescents, teens, and adults.

Treatment with metal braces includes high-grade stainless steel brackets that are securely bonded to your teeth, connected with a nickel-titanium wire that is held in place with elastic bands.

Invisalign® orthodontic treatment is the premier, clear alternative to braces that can help your orthodontic team give you the smile you’ve always wanted. Invisalign uses a series of virtually invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that gently straighten and shift your teeth into the proper position and bite alignment. Invisalign is a popular treatment for teens and adults with active lifestyles.

With Invisalign treatment, you’ll receive custom aligners that you’ll wear for one week cycles, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will shift — little by little, week by week—until your smile is perfectly transformed!

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are made of a single crystal sapphire material and are less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, ceramic braces are used mainly on older teenagers or adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. While they are less visible, ceramic braces are more brittle than metal braces. For this reason, ceramic braces are used only on the upper six front teeth and not on the lower front teeth.
